Verizon will cut the price of its relatively expensive smartphone data plan in conjunction with the release of the HTC Touch and the Motorola Q9c, a business version of the Q9m. This is, of course, an obvious response to AT&T’s iPhone epidemic. Currently, Verizon boasts a much better network over AT&T, but the GSM carrier tends to offer phones that can’t help but make Verizon’s offerings look shameful. Mix in AT&T’s cheaper data plans, and you can see why the company’s still around
