Well, it’s now been a little more than 120hrs and I’m about to author my 8th and final DVD, from my home movies. Each Dual-Layer DVD contains 3 to 4hrs of unedited video footage. A straight dump from my 30 Digital8 tapes, that I’ve imported into my iMac. I’ve calculated that each 3.5hr DVD-DL I’ve created took me an average of 22hrs to create: importing the footage, create a 1hr iMovie from each tape, authoring the DVD from multiple iMovie sequences and finally burning to media.
