On the second day of his “12 Days of Christmas Tech Gifts,” Mike Wendland (freep.com) turns his attention to smartphones. “The best phone period,” he affirms, “remains the Apple iPhone.” “Groundbreaking in its functionality, features, and fun,” iPhone also tops his list because of the App Store, which “gives it so much power that none of the competitors can even come close.”

2008 was a good year for us. 36-image converter reached the top 20 of the most popular image editors with 1800 downloads a week, it was also featured in many computer magazines. We mostly abandoned our old platform for development and started converting all our applications to Delphi for Win32. We released our first OpenSource application : SpeedShut 4.0 and we improved our site’s feedback system by using MySQL. We are currently at a stable amount of +-13.000 visitors a month and it is still ri

Tonight is the night that I finally get my new iPhone - its been several months since I planned on getting the iPhone for the first time, but my parents we’re object to it since I was making little money. Since then, I’ve been working many more hours and making lots more money, and just this week I recieved a raise and promotion offer at work - all the better! Thus, tonight my dad and I will make the trek to the mall (in the middle of Christmas shopping season, to boot!) and get myself set up w

There are two ladies in the Learfield IT department. Not only are they smart and competent, they’re hip and attractive. So when they told me my new iPhone belt holster would mark me as a nerdy lamer, I was dismayed. All my Mac buddies keep their iPhone proudly strapped on their hips like 3G Glocks. I tried carrying it in my pocket but when driving in the car it is almost impossible to get it out to answer/make a call. They even sent me a link to this Budweiser Men of Genius spot (Mr. Cell Phon

The Apple iPhone app is called “Amazon Remembers” and it does just that, you simply walk into a store on the high street, pick something you want to buy, instead of taking it to the check-out, you whip your Apple iPhone out, take a photograph, send the photograph to Amazon through the Amazon Remembers App, then Amazon gets to work, looks for a similar product in its inventory, then once it has found the same product, it will store it for you and allow you to purchase it ready for delivery. Well, it could be said that Apple has managed to get itself into a mess over the past couple of days. First, Apple posted an advisory ad telling Mac users to install anti-virus software on their computers. While most who are “in” with technology took this to heart and called it a wise move, Apple apparently did not like all the attention. So, it gets better - Apple pulls the advisory. Afterall, the rather uneducated public, who are also the potential Windows transfers, think (thanks to I’m a P
